Taguchi has been playing real well latley....Filling in very well in the leadoff spot in ecks place. Ive also noticed that over the years, he has been quite a good clutch guy. I just wanted to acknowledge him for his outstanding work this year.

Has Larussa the Genius ever considered using Springer to hold close leads rather than Franklin? Springer has outpitched Franklin bigtime lately.

Filling holes: I have a feeling Coco Crisp will be on the trading block. He started out in the Cardinal organization. Edmonds has lost a step, and I think Crisp is a terrific center fielder. Put Edmonds in left and Ankiel in right.

There's a better that 50-50% chance Garland is going to some other team this winter. The White Sox are looking for outfield help and Garland is someone they're dangling. This could be a good trade for the Cards, especially if they could sign a free agent outfielder too.

But I think their priority now is signing Eck. But I would be working the phones too.
